After multiple advanced obedience classes, Mugsy passed his CGC! YEA!! I was so proud of him. However, he almost did not pass. The test was over 3 hours long because there were so many dogs. I thought Mugsy would ace with flying colors since we had been practiving the test for weeks.

Well, he must have gotten mad at me for all the sitting around and waiting - I wouldn't let him play at all and there were no treats allowed. When I called him to come, he literally turned his head away from me and wouldn't look at me!!! I couldn't believe it! Even the test adminstrator was laughing. Finally, I got down on my hands and knees and clapped and he came running! It was the funniest thing though.

SInce he did pass his test, I would like to continue training with him. What type of training should I pursue now? This is the first experience I have had with proefessional training and classes. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

appicon congrats on passing the CGC! appicon

aint that just a boxer to "get mad at you" infront of everyone! we're working on our CGC for Cassius, then hopefully to move on and get a CD obedience title and maybe even a CDX! if you're not already in contact w/ your local breed or boxer club, do that. Many times they will hold obedience practice along w/ conformation classes... the people there should be able to help you practice what is needed to work at a CD. then, when you've got enough practice... enter a show! Best of luck! :D keep up the great work!
