Hello, a boxer puppy has join our family. the first day he got to our house, i noticed that he was throwing up, and had diarrhea. i am worried that this might be parvo, since he has not had his parvo shot. he is going to be 9 weeks old tomorrow, and wanted to know that if i took him to the vet and gave him the parvo shot along with the boosters, would he be cured?

No, he would not be cured. Vaccinations prevent you getting diseases in the first place, by stimulating the immune system to produce the right antibodies - thus vastly reducing the risk of infection upon 'real' exposure. But it won't do a thing to help cure if you've already got the disease.

Parvo is deadly, so if you suspect your pup has it, a trip to the vet is an immediate priority (don't wait - go right now). It can be cured if caught early enough, but would almost certainly be fatal without urgent medical help. Good luck - hopefully that is not what your pup has, but you need a doctor to find out.
