Hello zuki's mummy here.
Zuki has been diagnosed with pancreatitus but has been poorly with this now for 2 1/2 months my vet has put her on a drip and morphene for 3 days(when first diagnosed), taken blood tests every 1 1/2 weeks, put her on a veterinary diet dried food by purina called EN (gastroenteric canine formula), we have to put Lipex pi on each meal which is a powder to digest food also milk thistle is put on her meals, she is on her second dose of antibiotics and is taking a vitamin e tablet once a day, and it still isnt under control each blood test is diffrent sometimes better than the last one but the next one is then worse. She has had an xray which showed nothing. The vet does not now what else to do so he is reffering zuki to a specialist.
Has anyone else experianced this for this length of time as when she was first diagnosed the vet said it would go within 7 days and everything will be back to normal.
It is breaking my heart to see her like this and not being able to do anything
Has anyone got any help/advice?

I have never had a dog with pancreatitis but I have some experience in it with humans, (husband). I know that it can either be an acute attack, meaning that it will only happen once or it can be chronic and will be something that you have to monitor and "live" with forever.
In most cases high fat foods can trigger it as well as larger meals so feeding a good quality food would be my #1 step as well as smaller meals throughout the day vs. 1-2 meals a day. If you are giving ANY junk people foods, stop that ASAP!
Sometimes the pancreatitis can be damaged so an enzyme is required to aid it in breaking down the food, which seems like you are now doing. Also, it can lead to diabetes as the pancreas releases insulin, only if the pancreas gets damaged to bad, though not in all cases.
Extremely loose stools OR constipation can be a factor and in the loose stools scenerio dehydration can occur so watch fluid intake.
Bland, bland bland....foods is the ultimate key. You want to figure out what the trigger foods are. Or in a dogs case whatever the main ingredient is in the food being fed could be the culprit. If you are noticing a change with the new food per the vet then that is a great start, but it might not be the best food out there for your dog. Keep trying different things until you hit on something that helps. It will get better even if it seems like you are fighting a losing battle. Weight loss must be watched out for, in my hubby's case he lost 30+ pounds that he couldn't afford to lose but has gained half of it back.
Another trigger is stress, big time. Keep you baby happy and that will be half of the battle.
I don't know if any of this will help but you are in my thoughts.
Good-Luck
