Pancreatitus

HELP!! My boxer Barkley just had stomach surgery 2 weeks ago and found that she has pancreatitus. She has done really well since until 2 minutes ago she threw up. I am concerned because we took her with us last night to friends and she could have gotten a hold of something that has caused her pancreas to swell again. I want to know if anyone has this problem and what do they do about it. She seems fine now and is playing but all day she laid around until she threw up. I am putting her back on her highly digestable food for a few days and call my vet. I would love to hear from any of you The Liles Family

Definately call the vet since this may have a lot to do with his surgery.

Pancreatitis happens from fatty foods, sometimes stress, among other things. What did Barkley have surgery on her stomach for? I hope she is doing better please keep us updated.

Hello Jaimie,

Thanks for replying. Barkley kept throwing up for a few days and the Vet thought they saw something plastic in her stomach on the x-rays. After trying to get it to pass unsuccessfully they opened her stomach up and found nothing but a case of pancreatitus. She has done well for two weeks until yesterday she threw up her mother hubbard treat. The Vet said to just watch her. I'll keep you posted. Thank-you, The Liles Family.
