I want to come on Sunday but I can't say for sure we will. I have a dog show and boxer club meeting I HAVE to attend on Sat. so it will depend on how tired we are from that.

The show is at Ludwigs Corner Horse Show Grounds if any one would like to come I don't know what time the boxers are in the ring, but I am sure it will be early ( 8:30ish) :(

All of you have a good time and make sure you bring your cameras!

He is still a young little guy....how old is he now Nicolette? So since Wrigley likes to play with the boys better, it's good to know that there will at least be one male coming for sure.

Panzer's is 12 weeks (or 3 months) old today! On Sunday he'll be 12.5 weeks. He's growing fast - I'd say he's just under 25 lbs. He towers over any other puppy at the park even when they're older.

Ava and I are very excited and hoping for no more injuries. I will try to toughen her up by Sun so she will defend herself with more than just kisses!!

I'm worried about Panzer being too submissive. We had a bad time at the park yesterday (long story so I'll save it for Sunday if anyone cares! ;)). I'm not sure if the submissiveness was due him being low on energy and being hot... or it's a developing personality thing. I hate to see him get beat up by bullies and owners who do nothing about it.

Seasoned dog park gals: Should I bring anything other than water and a towel for Panzer? I've never stayed at the park longer than 2.5 hrs and walk home so this whole thing is new to Panzer and me.

Ah, yes, I suppose the 13th is a Sunday!
That works for us as well:) Wrigley loves playing under the benches for some reason - he's grown quite a bit since that photo was taken, but he still manages to squeeze under them. I bet he and Ava will have a great time. I didn't mean to imply that he doesn't like girs - I think that perhaps many of the girl dogs we've met at the park have been a but quiet and sumbissive, and you know being a boxer, he loves to box and play, so he finds males more fun - I bet he'll love the boxer girls!

We're looking forward to this weekend!

Nicolette.....we bring WATER...thats the most important...we each bring about a gallon each and just keep filling up bowls as we see it needed. (bowls already there) A towels is good for Panzer if he likes to lay in the wet mud made from the water bowls spilling like our pups do, but it is mostly just dry dirt. Don't bring cookies...I am sure you know this but I brought them the first time i ever went and dogs were attacking my bag and one ate all the cookies before I could get him out. Other than that, nothing major..just cameras..and water for ourselves.

About Panzer...don't worry too much about him being so submissive and therefore getting beat up. For the most part, the dogs have been pretty cool there. Don't be afraid to break anything up if you don't like how a dog is playing with yours, even if it is one of the boxers. You have a young little guy!! For the most part, we haven't had any major probs there. Usually if one of our boxers and another dog get into it, we redirect the attention by calling over another boxer for our dog to play with and to get the other dog(a random person's dog) away. Mostly the dogs work it out and there aren't any probs. I understand your concern though. Ava is so passive and submissive and it scares me a bit when another dog wants to play with her really rough. But we all look out for each others pups and everything is usually fine. The dogs have a blast!

People coming:
*Danica and Ava
*Tanya and Bailey
*Deanie and Chloe
*Mary and Wrigley
*Nicolette and Panzer
*Jen and Cookie (maybe)
*Random people #1 from park (forget the name of the dog but that guy who had the his girlfriend's boxer (brindle) that was way older than we thought it was)
*Random people # 2 from park --guy with the big boxer(fawn) (the boxer who obviously likes to eat)
*Random people # 3 from park--that young couple who have Natasha (brindle)
*Random people #4 from park--young girl who showed up with her boxer as I was leaving last time...didn't catch her name or her dogs name but told her)
*The random people Nicolette told and their dog
*Phillyboxer and dog (don't know for sure if coming...haven't seen a post to confirm after the directions one)

So sorry this ended up being so long..just wanted to answer everyone's questions :)

CANT WAIT!! :) its gonna be a good time! I never said anything to the girl that was walking in as you were leaving! But who knows she might be there!!

Oh my goodness! I didn't realize so many people (10+) might be coming. If we keep having Boxer Bashes there the city will have to rename the park to "Boxer Bash Park"! :)

Count Us In!

My husband and I would love to bring our 5-month old fawn male, Pugsley! He is in heaven when playing with other Boxers, but, unfortunately, there's no designated Dog Park near us (we're in Havertown, just west of Philly).

Thanks and see you there!
