I told lots of people at the dog park today that Panzer was getting together with "at least 6 other Boxers" for a Boxer Bash next weekend. You should've seen the look on their faces! They kept saying how jealous they were that their breeds don't have playdates or a super special website. Out of the 50 or so dogs at the park today, I only saw one Boxer. He didn't stay long enough for me to chat with him about the 13th.
Maybe this will inspire other breed owners to organize their own bashes. For all the times in between Boxer bashes, it's great to have our local park. Today was the first day that I really "went to the dog park" and it was marvelous. We stayed for 2.5 hours and didn't realize it. Panzer made so many friends -- I can't wait to go back!

HI Everyone!
Wrigley and I are new-ish to boxerworld, but we're hoping to make it this Saturday for the Boxerbash - it sounds like it will be a ton of fun for our guys and gals! It's just about on Wrigley's one year birthday too - what a great b-day surprise! I know he'll love it. He prefers to play with boys more than girls so I don't think he'll be in competition for the ladies attention

Deanie...we are meeting on Sun, June 13th to clarify.
Mary....Ava and I are excited to hear that you might be able to make it to the bash this weekend. Just so you know it is on Sunday.(you said Sat. in your post and I just wanted to make sure you didn't show up on Sat. and wonder where all the boxers were) I looked in your gallery and saw pics of Wrigley. What a handsome guy! I like the one of him laying under the bench because it reminded me of Ava. At the park last time, Ava would run out from under the becnch and play and then bolt back under the bench. She did this over and over. Deanie's son and daughter were there sitting on the bench and Ava just kept plowing through their legs. She likes to play and relax under the benches. Maybe Ava and Wrigley will hang out together under the benches! (even though you said Wrigley like to play with the males mostly) Unfortunately, the male in our group, Loki, will not be joining us on the 13th. He has been having some issues with the male dogs at the park. (I think he doesn't like sharing his ladies) He is the sweetest thing and we are sad we will not have him there because he is so good with all the females and humans. We had one other male from the group, Mugsey (a gorgeous boy), who came last time and was really good until he found a dog that was just too tempting to pick on so they had to leave. I don't think they are coming on the 13th but I could have just missed a post somewhere along the way. However, Panzer (male) will be joining the group this weekend and we all can't wait to meet him. He is still a young little guy....how old is he now Nicolette? So since Wrigley likes to play with the boys better, it's good to know that there will at least be one male coming for sure. All our girls are very playful and nice so i am sure Wrigley will love them!! They will be excited for two new males!!!!
Ava and I are very excited and hoping for no more injuries. I will try to toughen her up by Sun so she will defend herself with more than just kisses!!
If everyone comes who said they were coming or that were maybes, we should have about 10 boxers there. (That's including the boxer owners that we randomly met at the park last time and told about the 13th) Hopefully most will show. So it should be a good time for us and our pups!
