Thank you

Many thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Max is OK but definitely grieving. A friend brought his boxer over yesterday to play with him and Max continued to look at the door waiting for Emma to come in. We have been in touch with some very kind, wonderful boxer breeders who have young boxer pets available and we are leaving next week to look one in particular and find Max a new best friend. My husband and I are also thinking about a third boxer. Guess we are getting crazier as we get older but these guys are such fun and we love them so much three would keep up busy so we don't become cranky. I will post pictures as soon as we get home with our new girl.

I am so sorry for your loss reading your post broke my heart. My first dog died a month after my dad did when I was just 16. It took a long time before I got another dog. I love boxers so much and our Summer is such a joy! I can't imagine how I would feel if we lost her 5 years is too short a time to spend with one thats for sure. We are also in Ohio near Cleveland. We are looking also to getting another boxer, we also have a mini dachshund who serves as Summer's sister.

We got Summer from a breeder near Ashland, Kentucky. I would like to find one closer to home as the drive to get Summer was 5 hours long (and worth every minute) I know understand those that love their dogs as if they were their children. Summer has certainly stolen our hearts.
