I think that you and your family are very blessed to have Murdoch in your life, and I think he is very blessed as well to have such loving people as you there for him.

I had to understand his condition better so I did some research on the internet. Not a good - thing but Murdoch has already beaten his odds so on that same line - they do mention forms of treatments and I was curious if they are options for him. Here's what I found.
Prognosis for animals with clinical signs is guarded. Periodic abdominocentesis may be needed to control peritoneal effusions. Diuretics, vasodilators, and digoxin may also be indicated.
