So sorry for your loss of Capone rest in peace sweet angelicon

I know when the light goes out of their eyes its time to put them to sleep. I think I cried more the night I noticed that the light was gone in my Willy's eyes then I did the day we actually put him to sleep.

My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I know exactly how you feel!
It sounds like he was incredibly special. Hopefully one day we can look back and remember the wonderful things about our dogs, and not feel the pain of losing them so acutely.

So sorry for your loss. You gave your baby a good home and he will be forever greatful. We went through the same thing in August when we had to put down our German Shepherd. My husband wasn't ready to add to our family but if we did and that's when we got our Bella. She will never replace our Roxie and a new dog will never replace your Capone but she certainly has become a bright spot in our lives.

Many condolences and my thoughts are with you. Remember, you will see him again.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of Capone, all our Boxer babies were there to take care of him at the bridge. Many, many hugs to you, Kate.

Your sweet Capone sounds like such a special boxer. I know how sad and hurt your are but know you did right by him and when he needed you most you helped him to the bridge with loving tender hands. Godspeed sweet capone

Thanks for your sweet reply to my post about my Lucy. Sounds like you experienced the same sudden deterioration that we did. Lucy's lastest round started on Christmas Day. Hard to believe that they can be gone so suddenly. I too could see that the spark and spunk were gone.

I don't know what I would do if my house was empty. You will know when your heart is ready to begin healing and can accept another boxer baby. He/she will never replace Capone, but will help you make new memories.

It has been one month today since our Capone went to sleep for the last time. We miss him terribly. The hardest part is coming home and forgetting he is not there to greet us anymore. I miss the woo-woos and his chin on my knee and I miss hearing his contented sigh before he would go to sleep next to us at night. Thank you all for your kind words... I have found much comfort in reading the posts.

Hang in there-it takes a while for the hurt to subside. It is almost a year since I lost my sweet Ailis and I still think of her everyday and miss her sweet puppy kisses but now I am able to smile as often as I cry. Know everyone here understands and sends you healing boxer wiggles. Take care
