Just been reading the replies I received from you beautiful people. It's been three weeks now since our boy Slash passed away. In order to try to ease the pain my wife and I decided to head to Spain for a week, along with our little girl Marjon. And just now I realised we didn't arrange a fulltime babysitter for Slash, as we used to do in the past. Believe me or don't: I'd give a thousend dollars per day for a babysitter for our beloved Slash...God, I'd wish he was here now, playing with the dogsitter as he used to do. I don't mean to be so pathetic, but the pain just won't go away, in fact it gets worse day by day...Goodbye my sweet little boy, you'll never leave my heart for a single second. We all miss you so much!!!

You're not being pathetic, you just love and miss your boy. There's nothing wrong with that, we all grieve in our own way and for our own length of time. ((hugs)) to you. Take your time and do things at your own pace.

I understand

I feel your pain. My Super Vexxor has been gone 11 days now and our home seems emptier everyday. I truely hope that empty space in your life grows smaller each day and fills with lovely memories of your sweet friend.

I am so sorry for your loss!! I lost my first boxer almost 4 years ago, and there is still pain, but there are also some smiles when thinking of her. Just remember what a great life you gave your baby while on this earth.
Hang in there:)

The words you wrote are an echo of my own heart towards my girl Magic. I know how hard it is to loose such a wonderful friend. Please know that your feelings are safe with us on BW...those of us who have lost a beautiful soul...know the lingering pain that never seems to go completely away. I am so sorry your Slash had to go. Magic please give Slash lots of your boxer loves.

I can relate to how you are feeling. It's been just about 2 1/2 months since my girl Cadence died and I miss her so much sometimes I can't breathe. I still cry quite often, but that's part of my grieving process. Each person's process is different. The "first" time things you do once they're gone are very difficult. I just transferred Skye's vet records and they asked if I wanted Cadence's transferred, too. I had to tell them that she had died, since we had already transferred her care before she died. Some days it's very hard to even get the words out. I surround myself with her memories, pictures, toys to keep myself comforted. You will find things to help you feel better, too.
I hope that you and your wife can enjoy your vacation in Spain. Know that your sweet Slash is with you guys, and keeping watch over you.

Run free, sweet little boy. You are loved.

I am Sooo Sorry!!

I'm sorry for your loss. I am new to this forum and can relate to your pain. My family has suffered the loss of our Bailey. He was 14. We are now waiting for a new baby to come home. Should be ready in apx 2 1/2 wks. I know that there cannot ever be a replacement for your loss. For us, it has been 6 months and
even though we will never have another Bailey, we miss the kisses & smiles, kidney beaning, woo wooing and all of the other wonderful traits this breed exhibits. I hope things are now easier for you.
