Boxer Insane
I wanted to ask everyone for prayers, one of our long time (one of the emeritus members) passed away on September 1st. He has been hospitalized since just before Thanksgiving last year and the doctors just couldnt get him better. They never knew what caused his issues. And although he wasnt all that active in the last 3-4 yrs, he did love the breed and loved being a part of the rescue. He was always kind and generous. He is the man that adopted Duke, that severely emaciated dog we had last fall. He only got to spend a couple of months with Duke before he ended up in the hospital, but he loved Duke (aka Riley) like he was a beloved child. Jim was a kind man, generally soft spoken, he helped our rescue get our 501c (before I became involved) he and Sandra (his SO) always opened their home to our rescue meetings. He was a little scatter brained at times, but was always happy to sit and talk about things.
Jim was pre-deceased by his boy Max (white male) and his first rescue dog Ms. Pudge (fawn female) and leaves behind Max's twin brother Mac (white male) and his last rescue dog Riley (fawn male). And he also leaves behind Sandra his significant other, and her baby Loki (a giant GSD that thought he was a boxer) and all the people at Boxer Rescue of Albuquerque.
God Speed Jim, it is almost a comfort to know that you will be up at the bridge taking care of all of our rescue dogs, Please keep an eye out for Bailey, he was a white male that we lost a couple of days ago to cancer only 2 days after rescuing him from the shelter. He will need some love and guidance up there. Give all our babies love from us. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
