So, far our puppy has been great. This is our first 48 hours with him. We got him from a breeder in Lancaster PA over the weekend. We're working on getting him potty trained. Yea, he has had a few accidents (thank goodness for hardwood floors) but over all he’s a joy. He is like having a newborn; we've been up in the early morning hours letting him out to do his thing. We are getting him use to the house and us by letting him sleep in the room with us in one of those plastic storage bins/container (lid off or course) filled with towels. He seems to fall asleep quickly and sleeps pretty good for a few hours then he’s up and needing his outdoor time. Our biggest task seems to be getting him create trained. It is hard to reward him, with him barely understanding food from a dish instead of being filled up by momma. So, we’re trying the approach of making him fetch a few of his toys from his create so he gets used to entering and leaving it. We are enjoying Brutus and will be watching this site for more tips and tricks reading about everyone's ups and downs with their puppies.
