Get yourself a crate for each dog and start the potty training all over again. My old girl Brit (at the bridge) would do that when we would leave we thought it was like an anxiety thing while we are gone. But we found that it helped when we got her into the crate (with no pillow, towel or blanket cuz she would pee on that). She stopped the peeing within a week or so as soon as she figured everything out all over again.

Also, there is some stuff you can get at the pet store called Natures Miracle. It works wonders on smells, especially urine! Go check out your local pet store buy some Natures Miracle and a crate for your dog (s) and make yourself much happier not having to walk through a kitchen that smells like pee!

Thank-you

We think we have found out whats wrong. For the last 2 days (When we have had to leave ) we have just let her have the kitchen and the living room and nothing has happend. when we came home she was just laying on the chouch and seemed very happy. We left for 2 hours the first time 4 hours and so on. Do you think she was mad because we tied her up? We have tried the creat but it seemed to make everthing worse. We will let you know how it goes. Tomarow is the big test she will be here by herself when we are at work (I only work 6 hours). I will try the Natures Miracle. Thank-you so much ,I am so glad I found this site. Sorry I think I may have posted another reply somewhere else. Thank-you again from Buckshot & Gin cool2icon

I don't want to sound harsh, but tying a dog up when you aren't there to supervise is really dangerous. The dog could get wrapped up in the rope/cable/leash and choke.

I hope that your new routine works and she won't go back to peeing, but if it doesn't, please, please don't tie her up. She could hurt herself. If you need to confine her and don't want to use a crate, try baby gates to keep her in one room, or an exercise pen that will give her more room than a crate.

getting dog pee smell off tile floors

Try about a 1/4 of a cup clorine bleach (clorox, etc.) mixed with hot water in a mop bucket, it seems to work for me when my two 3 month old boxers Zeke & Sassy have an accident on my floor. You will have to rinse the floor with clear hot water after you mop with the bleach water.
