I have to agree with you about the love you get from boxers. It's just the most wonderful thing I can imagine and I wouldn't trade it for the world. There is nothing like boxer love and I hope to never be without one in my life...
I feel all warm and mushy inside just thinking about my boxer girls!!!

I am sure your going to miss him so much, the ear rubs and everything he used to do, a lot of this is going to bring tears coming back to your eyes. But they are all tears of how muc h he meant to you and all the love you had for each other. It will get better and thinking of him years later may still bring a tear or a smile and it shud because those will be fond memories of someone who meant so much. Poor Nick must miss him so too. Dont feel guilty about getting another boxer , if the time is ready for you go ahead you can start now to get your mind off Bru it may take awhile before you find one. Take Care and keepin touch!

A friend told me recently following the passing of our beautiful furbaby, Harley, a black-masked, flashy fawn boxer, that you grieve because you loved so well. That line has helped me in recent weeks...perhaps it will give you some comfort. I understand what you are going through. We had to put Harley down only after one week of learning that he had hemangiosarcoma, a VERY fast growing cancer. He was just 8 years old.

We have a new, 10 week old furbaby, Bentley, a brindle whom we love dearly. The tears however, still pour for Harley. We miss him so. :(

Sorry to hear about your loss. I was upset reading your thread. All I can say is that it is very hard losing a pet. Just think of the wonderful 8 years you guys spent together, he will be in your hearts forever.lovicon
