Our 4-legged kids

We just got our computer and I've spent the last two days looking at pictures of Boxers. I was never an animal lover until I met Boxers, we now have two.
Grendel is a 2 1/2 yr old fawn female. She is 63 lbs of chiseled muscle with uncropped ears and the "classic" Boxer head. We got her from a breeder in Georgia, and raised her from a pup. We have a fenced acre but she still loves to go for walks or rides so she can meet new people.
We got our other Boxer in March. A friend spotted him on the SPCA web site and tipped us off. He had been there for three weeks and was in bad shape. He had kennel cough and coughed with every labored breath. He was severly under weight, his ribs and spine were clearly visible. Though the "owner" still had ten days to legally claim him the SPCA director allowed us to foster him until we could legally adopt him. They did not have the resources to help him and they told us we saved his life. What a gratifying experience it has been to see him come back to life. He has gone from 55 lbs. to 72 lbs. and his mangey coat has changed to a soft and sleek fawn, rippled with muscles. He has slowly regained his confidence and playful spirit after a childhood of abuse.
It has been especially fun to see how he has bonded with his "sister." They are inseperable. As hard as I tried I could never tire her the way another Boxer can. They spend all day chasing each other and "boxing" until they are completly exhausted. I strongly encourage anyone with just one Boxer to rescue another one. Two are actually easier to take care of than one and although it's more expensive there isn't a more gratifying way to spend your money. They are pure joy.

Are you Russian? I've been the only Russian here so far and I was impaciently waiting for someone from Russia to join the board.
Do you have pictures of your furbabies? It would be nice to see them ;)

Come on Marina, you aren't the only Russian here! I can consider myself half Russian after living there for 4 years :p
I can speak some of it...Well, some words, like gospodine, domigrouchka, lada, volga, zil ;)
