OUCH!!!! He hurt me!!!! (kinda long)

Well yesterday I was browsing some Rescue sites and crying feeling so horrible for those babies. So you can imagine I was so excited to get home and see my two boys. Guiness was extra excited to see me for some reason. So I say my hello's and go to sit on the couch. Well lil' Guiness decides to jump up and start kissing and pawing my face!!! The bad part was that we just had his nails cut and those darn sharp edges!!!!!! Well, needless to say, he caught my earlobe and RIP!! It hurt like sooo bad. I grabbed my ear to feel the blood running down my hand. I started freaking cause I hate blood. Thank God the hubby was home. So I had him take a look and he said, "Man I think you need stitches!" So I was really flippin now. Winds up my puppy caused me to have a huge deep gash on my ear that should have taken stitches, but I'm too much of a baby. Now I'm walkin around with this huge bandage on my ear. He's lucky I love him the way I do!!!

Katie did that to me too....those darned sharp needle baby teeth. she nipped at my face and caught my lip, i jerked back and proceeded to create a 1/2in gash in my lip. I too should of had stiches. I think the hardest thing about it was trying not to drop a wriggling puppy and keep from bleeding on him too!

I went to work the next day with a big butterfly bandage on my lip. I looked like i had been in a fight!

Sorry to hear you are hurt though, Big hugs and kisses from katie! and a prayer for a quick healing from me.

You poor thing, I got my earing caught in a sweater one time and ripped my ear. I thought I was going to die!!!!! I guess that was Guiness's way of telling you not to get his nails cut anymore LOL. Hope you heal quickly!!!

I'll bet that really hurt, too! Beau has nails that are like razor blades sometimes!! I hope your ear heals quickly!

i know the feeling, except mine came from the cat. My cats aren't declawed so you are always getting the occasional scratch. well one morning, i called Lucy (my boxer) to come get in bed with me. The cat sleeps on my pillow and didn't like the dog getting up in bad. Needless to say my face was the only thing inbetween the cat and dog. It ended up bruising my face (near my left eye) and 5 long scratches. I am always careful about calling Lucy into the bed sorry so long

Buster was pawing at me the other night and scratched my cheek - but it was with his crusty pads on his feet! I told him he was way overdue for a pedicure and he needed some exfoliation ASAP!

I, too, looked like I had been in a fight! You're right - it's a good thing we love them so much!

Oh my god, thats awful. I hope your ear heals quickly! Rocco does that too, he's jumping, licking and scratches us all the time by accident. He even uses our body almost like a trampoline, he gets a running start and kicks off us. That hurts soooo bad! We're trying to get him to stop before one of us ends up in the hospital!

I am so sorry to hear about your ear but now I know I am not the only one with Boxer war stories. I have had to go to an opthamologist three times for getting a paw in the eye. My husband has since banned me from wrestling with my baby boy (who by the way is always devastated when I grab my eye and say here we go again). Luckily they healed quickly but that was the worst pain I have ever had. I think you all are right, we have to toughen up to own our fun loving boxers
