Putermom
Boxer Booster
to cry on.
A couple of weeks ago, I found out that my Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I have been on an emotional roller coaster since then on top of my normally very hectic schedule what with work, kids, and home.
So I finally broke down 2 nights ago, sitting on my bedroom floor, very upset and hysterical. I have been strong and really haven't cried since finding out about my Mom.
Well, the floodgates opened and I cried and cried. Well, DH was still at work, the skin kids were asleep and the 2 fur kids were in the living room lounging around.
Otis must have heard me crying and comes into my room. He comes up to me, looks at me, sits down and then lifted his paw...trying to pat me on the shoulder and arm. Then he tried to hug me by leaning up closer as his paw was on my shoulder. It was the sweetest thing...Otis trying to comfort me...giving me his strong shoulder to cry on. And for the past couple of days, he sticks close to me and at night, he's been sleeping on the floor next to my side of the bed. Usually, he's sleeping with DS or DD or on the sofa. Plus, he's almost always by DS's side (12 yo) b/c DS loves to play rough with him and Otis just loves that.
Just had to share...our Boxers have many sides to them....goofy, protective and also sensitive.
