Hello Everyone!

I haven't been around for a couple of weeks. Been busy with DD's ear surgery and then last Saturday, we adopted Sasha.

We weren't planning on doing it. Certainly, I woke up last Saturday not knowing we would be a 2 fur-kid household. But DH and I have been talking and half-searching the shelters for a sister/playmate for Otis. He has separation anxiety and we all have to go to work/school.

Well, opportunity knocked that Saturday and we answered the door!

Otis's new fur sister is a 4 month old black female Chow Chow. She is the SWEETEST little thing with spunk! It was tough at first but the two of them have really made huge strides in getting along. Things are way much better than the first couple of days.

I wanted to get another Boxer but DH has been wanting a Chow Chow for the longest time! Ever since we've been together...18 yrs now. But due to fate, we ended up first with a Chinese Shar Pei, and now Otis our BOxer. Both times DH gave up his dream dog. We got the Boxer because of me!
I know DH loves Otis but he still wanted his dream dog...someday. Well, someday came last Saturday!

I'll post pics soon of the 2 of them! Just wanted to share our news!!

Thanks Everyone! THings are starting to settle down abit. We are finding our routine with the new baby! SHe's so smart! She's almost housebroken. She will go stand by the back door when she needs to go potty. We're also working on bell training her too. The only time she's had an accident is when she gets over excited or scared of something.

It's funny you say this because Otis will woo-woo her and she'll answer back! It's hysterical!! Then when Otis is kidney beaning, she wags her tail and we can see it go faster and faster until she's almost doing a kidney bean with her hind end going with the tail!!!

Otis is starting to realize the perks of having a fur sister. He's now got someone to play with when there's homework to be done and dinner to be made! Those were our toughest hours to get through.

When Sasha is in her crate, Otis will look for her and then run over and look into the crate at her and it's as if he's saying, "Hey! what are you doing in there for?? Did you get in trouble?"
