Opposite problem with leash

Oooh. Don't give in when he decides he's had enough. Coax a few more feet out of him and then YOU decide, ok, we'll go in. Otherwise HE'S training YOU and this will end up being a big problem in the end.

If he doesn't like treats, and he probably hasn't developed a taste for them yet, how about a toy? Or dropping to your knees and being enthusiastic?

Dragging the leash behind him is a good start. When he gets a bit older, say 3.5 or 4 months then you can start tying him to your waist. This way he stays with you and you always know where he is.
