On the subject of tails...

I don't know why some keep their nubs up vs down. Scrappy keeps his undocked tail up and it's constantly wagging!

I think it's simply and nothing more than a relaxed state. Why do they need to carry their nub up all the time? I know my dog has her nub flat most of the time, unless she is wagging it, or playing w/another dog. Even on a walk, I've noticed she raises her nub, probably because she is in an alert state.

Look at my avatar, we are at Schutzhund training, in an alert state and her tail is up.
