Kayboxer: That is in relation to kidney issues, in which high levels of protein have no role (but quality of protein does). Musculoskeletal disorders are completely different and the same research is simply not applicable.

Here is just one of the articles I read: http://www.thepetcenter.com/imtop/nutritioncomments.html
It all made sense (except what he recommended for dry food). Also, I had read many posts that you have answered gmacleod, and you are on the mark in all of them, so I valued what your belief is about the protein probably not causing the problems. Then, asking a few reputable vets that actually feed something other than Science Diet, which where I live is VERY hard to find, I came to my own conclusion about what I thought about high protein diets. The overfeeding theory made sense to me, along with quality protein being important, whether that is just for kidney function or everything, that being why raw is such a good diet and seems to help with many health problems.
That is the wonderful thing about Boxerworld. You can take the opinions of people, do some research and make your own choice. But, there are so many opinions, it gives you a chance to see many different views, as a lot of people have had experience with a certain problem. Your opinion I believe in greatly, as I can tell you know what you are talking about through experience and research. That is why I made my decision to go with Solid Gold BATM, along with others mentioned.
I am not a vet or expert, as most of us at Boxerworld are not, I just go with what I have read and learned (thanks to Roxy and her health problems I have learned some the hard way), and some of it may be wrong. I just do the best I can with what knowledge I have obtained through reading and opinions. :)

I was also wondering about "Taste of the wild", a local Pet store in my area carries this and she highly recommended it. I looked at the protein percentage and it seems pretty high for a pup. Just wondering if anyone can answer if this would be a good food to try for a pup.

My two did well on Taste of the Wild Wetlands formula. Oscar could not tolerate any of the SG varieties that I tried for him, but I think he is allergic to canola oil. I never tried the SG Millenia. My two are over 18 months old.
