here where i live they are getting 1200.00 easy for boxer puppies i see the adds in the pet for sale section of the paper and they go for that and i saw a great dane puppy for 1000.00 the city papers have the same price i compared(sounds like shopping for a car!!!!)
they had one over the summer a female 2 years old asking 800.00 or b/o why cant they just let a loving family have her i could never ask for money then again i could never get rid of one of my dogs.

Well your girl is adorable, but 1200 IS a reasonable price for a boxer from health tested and champion parents, which is all reputable breeders breed, unless there was an incident or accidnet causing a dog not to be shown or the dog is in the process of being shown, etc., but even then it will have had health tests; however, $4000.00 is a rediculous price unless it poops gold. A truly professional and reputable breeder rarely makes even what they spent back on selling quality pups for $1200.00. The REAL health testing costs thousands of dollars for each dog, the vet care, oftentimes surgery like C-section for the birth, and the aftercare, tail docking, and feeding of all the pups and mom. So yes it is expensive if done right.

I have been looking for about a month now, and most AKC (not champion) breeders are asking $400-600 for puppies.
I did contact this one breeder that said she had champion blood lines, she did all the health tests, etc. and she charged $1,100. She also said that a health gaurantee is just one way for breeders to get people to buy puppies and that most people over immunize puppies, that she only does it at 8 weeks.
I thought if you charge $1100 and you don't gaurantee the puppy and you don't immunize good luck selling your pups!
