Okay but does anyones boxer do this??

Reading these threads is like someone telling me what teddy did today but I noticed that noone has mentioned their boxer enjoying heights. Ted loves to be up as high as he can get, he sits on shoulders when you are on the couch watching tv (his butt is on your shoulder adn his front paws are on the arm of the couch), walks the back of the couch and loves to be picked up..yes the 80lb sack of potatoes loves to be carried around like a 2year old not that it happens often I am not that strong. He also has this uncanny reaction to men wearing hats..he goes into cujo mode the minute any man arrives at the door wearing a hat weather it be a guy who has known him since the day we brought him home or a little boy selling something. We got him when he was 8wks old and he has never had an episode, or bad encounter with a man in a hat that we know of. It's just really wierd.
My fav trait about ted is when he is playing and he goes to get a toy out of the basket we store them in he'll use his front paw to scoop and toss everything out and then he will choose the very last toy at the very bottom of that basket no matter what it is and by the time he is finished there is an arry of toys from one end of the living room to the other not to mention the ones hanging off the furniture, and once in a while us if his aim is off.

My like to get eye to eye with me and also shop at the bottom of the toybox.
Elvis throws a fit if I talk to him through my fist like a bullhorn. Funny how they get things in their head and how differnt they can be from other boxers.

That sounds JUST like our Bella. She is 5 1/2 months old and weighs about 40 lbs now. She STILL likes to sit on my lap....even at the little computer chair. She also likes to be held, as you said, like a 2 year old baby. She is ALL snuggles.

Austin will pull his toys out with his paw to get the one he wants, too!
