ohh how the snow rejuvinates my old girl!

Ohhh so pretty this morning. At 4:45am my girl Blizzard decided she had to go potty (thats what I get for letting her sleep last night when I went to bed and not MAKE her go out..). It must have started snowing an hour before or so (calling for 8+ inches where I am). She bounced out like a deer. Jumping, running, turning circles..rolling, leaping at the falling snow. It was so nice to see that her illness was pushed to the side and she enjoyed the snow like she always does. Even after doing her business, she wanted to stay out. Normally she goes out..pees, and jumps at the door. But today, she just wanted to enjoy the snow. How the stuff that will age most of us shoveling it etc will turn an old girl into a puppy in seconds!

Enjoy your day all. The site of my girl having fun made the fact that I was up that early sooo worth it!

Thats so sweet!!! I think you just made my day also!!! I am glad she had so much fun.

Harley is doing the same, but he is only 2. I am contemplating bringing out my camera, but its so cold I dont know that I could hold it steady!!!

Spud on the other hand... well, we have over a foot in some places. He cant even barely get out the door. I dont know WHAT to do, I know he has to go #2 soon, he already ate this morning. But how can he?? The snow is bigger than he is! I let him out and he is trying to eat his way to the yard.

not the biggest dog/animal lover () always clears a spot for Blizzy to go potty in..she normally does her business in the cleared area and then she bolts out of that cleared area for deeper terraine...

when we got her as a pup..(it was late November when we got her) we had a snow storm a few wks later. Mind you she was a little girl..10 wks or so) and white....she bolted into the foot+ deep snow and disappeared. All we saw was a tunnel like thing moving along the yard and every now and again a teeny tiny head (with the telltale fawn circle at the crown of her head) pop up..get some air and back down she went.

I'm pretty sure that would be Harley as a baby also!!! Straight through the snow! But when he was a puppy (we also got him in early November), we didn't have a big enough snow!!

I should try clearing a spot for Spud. Well, I already know I won't be able to. Not only am I the weakest creature on the earth, but I don't think I could stand the cold long enough to do it.

Definatly clear a place in the snow for him, when we got Niko thats what we had to do AFTER he had a few accidents in the house trying to get mom and dad to figure out why

I'm so glad to hear she's feeling like a puppy. My two got to go play in the snow this morning b/c I got to go into work 2 hours late. Thank you for sharing your story!

I am so glad you got some snow for your girl to enjoy! It started snowing here last night and Cami was in a rare freaky mode! She loves it and I hope she continues to enjoy it as your girl does!

That would have been so cute to see. I bet she sure has given you some good laughs watching her the snow (I know Darby sure makes me laugh. She too loves the snow)

It is so good to hear that she is acting like a puppy. Even though I hate the snow I will be hoping for a snowy winter to keep Blizzy happy so she can meet her brother or sister in the spring.
