I feel so sad today because I have to go back to work. This is the first time I'll be away from Riley for more than an hour. This will also be he first time Riley is home alone for more than an hour. :( I'm going to miss him so much. Hopefully, everyone at work will ask all kinds of questions about him so I can at least talk about my baby all day!!! :D

Well, when I get home from work, I'll post a message about how he did.

Don't worry. He'll be fine. If he is like every other dog, he will be busy in his crate sleeping and recharging so that he can run you ragged when you get home this afternoon. :)

I know how you feel!

I am a relatively new owner of a boxer puppy Madison. I am having to leave her at home all day while I am at work. My mum feeds Madison at lunchtime for me and brings Madison over to her house in the afternoon for playtime. I also have someone to call in at 4pm until I get home at 6pm - when Madison and I are reunited again!! :D

It is extremely hard leaving Madison for the day - I have been leaving on her her own now this will be the second week as like you I took a week off work to be with her!

I know Madison is happy and is getting well looked after when i am at work but I miss her so much - but all in all it makes the weekends more special as we have all weekend together...

Dont worry it does get easier but you just cant help missing them!

Oh when you get home tonight you can have some much needed play together!!

I dont think it ever gets any better. Lexus is 1 1/2 now and I STILL cant stand leaving her, even for a couple of hours. I think maybe it's just becuase of what happened to Sayde Lynn, but I still miss her terribly. I hate that she has mange and I cant take her everywhere with me anymore.
:(
Riley is getting SOOOOO big...I have more puppy envy!!

I guess your right - I will always hate leaving Madison behind while I go to work - wouldnt it be great to have a job where you could take your dog to work with you - that would be so great!!

This is my third week with Madison :D and it just keeps getting better!! I took her last night to get her nails clipped at the local groomers and she was so good - I am so proud of her - she is definately mummys girls (although daddy would not like me says that!!!) ha! ha!

As you can tell I am only new to this web site and once I get photos developed I will post them on my gallery - if I can work out how to do it!! Then you can all see what a beautiful girl Madison is!!

If you dont mind me asking you Ram&LexisMom what happened to Sayde Lunn?

So sorry to hear you're heading back to work. Well if they don't want to talk about Riley you know where we're at. We'd love to hear about Riley. It's always hard leaving them especially the first time. I don't know if you ever get used t it. He will probably be sleeping most of the time so when you get home he'll be ready to play. Good Luck on your first day back and let us know how he did.:)

Hope all went well with Riley today. I know it is really hard to leave these young pups. When our boxer was a puppy, she would give me such a guilt trip. Soon as I would put her in the crate to go to work, she would cry, really loud too. I had the opportunity to come home for lunch and take her out for a walk. Of course once she got older the crying went away. I also hate to leave her now also. I went to a barbecue for the holiday just for a few hours and I thought about her while we were out. Can't wait to hear how Riley made out today, I am sure just fine!:)
