Okay so Oakley is now almost 6 months and she is an amazing little girl. She is very good on leash with very little leash biting or anything else. I have a problem when I let her off leash, she immediately goes into play mode and will jump at me trying to grab at hands, ankles or anything hanging off of me. I have tried ignoring her which sometimes works but she could chew my ankles apart sometimes if I don't tell her "No". I have also tried yelping and she responds okay to that but not very consistent. I know she is just playing but I don't want her jumping around if I have other people walking her off leash. Please help as its troubling me.

Thanks

Does she get a lot of playtime off leash? or any playtime on leash? Does she just go for walks?

She sounds like she has learned leash behavior pretty well, but maybe she isn't getting enough actual playtime so she is excited when the leash comes off in hopes of some wrestling.

thanks for the reply, she does get what i would think is adequate time off leash to play usually at the parks or in backyards but maybe i could try more time playing without the leash and that would help her realize she can play without jumping around and annoying me

I would try some more play time off leash and see if that helps. :) I know that our friends rottie puppy did this and then they started playing with her more off leash and she stopped jumping to get their attention to try and play.... she was also more tired and didn't have the engery to jump :D

Good luck!! :)
