Hey everyone. I been checking out this site scense I got Rock. All the stuff on this site has been very helpful. I have had 2 boxers in my life. Zouie a beautiful fawn that smiles at all times is a great dog. Rock who I recovered from a local shelter is wonderful boy. Why any one gave him up is beyond me.

When Rock and I saw each other I knew it was a match and think he did to. He was 42 pounds, 6 six years old and had few teeth the day I brought him home. Well he's getting alot healtier and just wants to make me happy.

The problem I have is that rock has some bad breathe, that I'm trying dog treats and a mint bone. He wasn't to fond of the bone though. He also has some bad gas that can clear a room. Is their something give him in his diet or can a grommer help me. Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanx,
:D

Check his teeth for tarter build-up &/or bad teeth that need to be pulled. This can cause bad breath.
He might need a dental to remove the tarter. Contact your vet for information on this. Some stomach ailments can also cause bad breath, along with over-grown gums.

What brand of food are you feeding? Some dogs do better on certain brands that others don't. I would recommend feeding a high quality dog food.

Gas: some have gas more than others, and this also can depend upon the brand of food.

For the gas you can try adding a tablespoon of plain yogurt to his food it might help and they really like it....

For his breath I'm not sure....have you tried brushing his teeth or taking him in to get his teeth cleaned

Charcoal biscuits will help if its tummy related.
I would also change the diet to one of the lower protein diets of rice + chicken
