Boxer Pal
Our boxer is 4 1/2 months old and for the past couple of days he has been having odd potty behavior. Two days ago he pooped once at about 5:30 am, then did not go again until 8:30 pm, then at about 2 am he woke up and needed to go outside, he pooped then came back in and 5 min later he wanted to go back out and tried to poop but nothing came out (he usually sleeps through the night). The next day he didn't poop until about 6 pm. We went to bed and had almost the exact same episode in the middle of the night. Today he was almost back to his normal schedule, but we left to eat dinner and when my wife and I came back home he had gone all over his crate (he has never done this before ever, he has only peed in his crate once, and has never pooped). We took him outside and he did the thing where he acts like he is pooping but nothing comes out. His poop has been some diarrhea and some normal. The only thing we have done differently over this time has been going to the pool today, and I think maybe the chlorine has something to do with tonights episode, but the prior days are a mystery. Has anything like this happened to anyone, if so what were your next steps? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
