Ocd?

Has anyone heard of OCD (osteochondrosis)? My pup is having a problem with her knees and the orthovet said that this disease may be one of the possibilities.

Any and all advice on this condition would be greatly appreciated!

When Oscar was limping the vet thought he had OCD in his left hind knee. We took him to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital where they took more x-rays. From there they couldn't tell for sure if it was OCD or a ruptured ACL.

He was scheduled for surgery the next day to find out for sure. It turned out to be a little bit of both. He had a small OCD lesion on a non-weight bearing portion of his joint so they didn't mess with it. He also had a partially torn ACL so they fixed it using the TPLO procedure. He is now 12 weeks post op and is doing awesome. No more limping.

Sorry I couldn't tell you more about OCD. Maybe the vet could scope it to see if it is OCD and then possibly fix it.
