Last weekend my daughter asked me to pet-sit her beagle while they took a trip to Kansas, and because Ozzy is only 10wks old and only had 1 set of shots, I declined and they boarded their dog at a local animal hospital. Well they took off for Kansas and 3 hours later I got a hysterical call from her, the boarder had lost her dog. They had taken him out for a walk and he spooked and ran away. Needless to say..we spent 4 hours friday night and a few more the next morning looking for the dog when we finally got a call from the dog catcher who had located him. Well after that fiasco, and the animal hospital not doing anything to locate him, we ended up taking the beagle home with us where our little Ozzy imediately fell in love with the beagle and they had a wonderful time romping and wrestling for the next day and half until he was finally picked up by his parents. But now I am totally paniking about the beagle picking up some bug in his wandering and giving it to my puppy. His stool was a little loose this morning. Does anyone know how susceptable boxers are to parvo? Please keep fingers crossed for me. Im taking him to the vet this evening for his second set of shots.
