Well, I broke down and went and picked up Sir Gregory von Hayesunttuck. Sound the trumpets!!!!!!!! So far we only had one accident and it was my fault. I thought he was being a good boy and sitting, but he was squatting. Oh well. Right now he is calmly laying in his crate sleeping away. My partner and I played and played with him until he just laid in the floor and went to sleep. He whined at first when i put him in the Crate, but then he just went to sleep. I checked on him later and he was sitting on his clifford dog so regal. Also, he walks on a leash like a champ!!!! He stills fights a bit, but he knows Daddy doesn't play that. My big problem is doorways. I can't seem to get him to go from outside in or inside out. I know he did get his little paw stuck in a door, so we are working on it. I am so proud of my little boy!!! A side note, my partner, MH, did not want the dog, but he played with him for about and hour tonight. Those little fellas can break down any heart!!

I miss boxer puppies. We have a rat terrier pup but miss having a boxer pup. Congrads on your new boy. My Fiance had always had boxers but was never "big" on dogs and thought there was no point in having more then one. Well now we have two boxers and a rat terrier and am picking up a new rescued white boxer boy on christmas day. You need to post pics asap.

As for his problem with doorways, if his paw was hurt in one, I'm sure he feels a little intimidated by them. You can always have a treat ready for him on the otherside of the doorway, and within time, he'll be running through them no problem! Best of luck!

That brings back memories. I can't wait to see pictures. I remember when Hogan had trouble with doorways too. He was so tiny he had trouble jumping off the patio onto the grass. It doesn't take long until they grow into their bodies! Have a great Christmas with your new baby!

Congratulations! Puppies are so wonderful and a lot of work...smile!

I can't seem to get him to go from outside in or inside out. I know he did get his little paw stuck in a door, so we are working on it.

My 18-month-old rescue boxer does the same thing, he pauses at the door and most of the time refuses to come in with out a lot of coaching from us. We have tried every trick we can think of but he still has a big hang up about crossing the threshold...it is as if he is scared of walking through the door. We do not know anything about his past, so we have no clue why he does this.

Day 2!!

Well, Things are goin great. MH plays with Sir Gregory more than I do!! He goes to potty outside all the time. Still only 1 accident. Today he is okay with the door thing. We did some coaching and he got the hand of it very well. He is such a smart boy. I am charging the batteries for the camera as we speak and I will be posting the pics soon (maybe tomorrow night). Thanks for all the well wishes!!!
