we have a 6 year old boxer. we went away for a weekend and came home to a sore on her face . it has become bigger she now2 more. on friday night she got small lumps all over the top of her head....i was thinking the sores were hot spots but the little bumps?????? any ideas or suggestions we had a rottie as well who used to get hot spots from time to time but never got this big.....the sores are devoid of hair and are weepy,they are itchy the lumps on her head she is putting pressure on ....

Do you think it could be allergies and the sores are from her scratching them? If they do not get any better, you might want to have them checked out by your vet, you really don't want the open sores getting infected. Maybe you could try some antihistamines (benadryl) to see if that helps the bumps go away. Hope she feels better soon. Let us know how's she's doing

Carrie thanks for your response. I had her to the vet this morning it was hot spots....an allergic reaction to something she got a shot which should clear it up in 48 hours.....what a relief.....:D
