Not Hives

Levi's hives continued to multiply even after changing to Natural Balance food for allergies. I took him back to the vet on Monday and saw a different doctor (third one). He walked in took one look at Levi and said it wasn't hives but a bacterial infection. Levi has been on an antibiotic since Monday night and his coat is cleaing up. No more little bumps on his body. Maybe this will help someone else if your boxer has hives that will not go away.

Ya, Kona had something similar on her ear. I started addressing it on my own as an allergic reaction but after not getting any better after a few days we went to the vet and he diagnosed it as a staph infection. Tiny little red bumps on the inside of her ear flap.
