not barking

I have a 15 month boxer and aside from wanting attention she
never barks. Is this a common thing? I don't want her barking at everything just at times when I should be alerted.

Tess rarely barks either. She has only just started barking at the door now she has her puppies and she's 3.

When we first got Tobee he rarely barked (pretty much never). It took me by complete surprise when finally did. When Jake and him wrestle and fight, Tobee always growls. When he got a little older, Scott started wrestling really rough with him. Tobee would get all excited and start barking at Scott. That is still the only time he barks, when he is fighting with his dad! I don't think boxers are big barkers. Be gratefull though, Jake is constantly barking and it is annoying.

Nala barks once when anyone comes to the door, and then growls a little. She also barks when I won't play with her. That is it though. Very nice not to have a barking dog.

Jazmine barks a lot at Chase when they are playing or fighting over something that he has and she wants. (Just like kids)
But she barks when she hears anything unusual outside. And her new thing is to bark at the frogs in the backyard! :D
Chase is only 5 months, he barks once in a while when he is playing.

Annabelle hardly ever barks. Probably only 3 or 4 times since we've had her. I was told that boxers weren't big barkers.

Tyson wasn't a big barker, when he barked, there was always a reason. So far Mac and Jazz aren't that much on barking either and I am so glad. They bark when they are playing in the house with each other or chasing in the house, but not outside. If they take after their dearly departed brother, I will know when they bark to check it out. At 4 months, Mac has a deep guttural growl and sounds like a bull elephant. Jazz has a much tinier sounding bark, much more ladylike. Two of our neighbor's dogs bark so much it is very annoying. I am grateful mine don't add to the noise pollution!

Amaya rarely barks. She will bark when she wants Brutus to play but rarely at the door or people walking by the house. She barks maybe 3 times per week. Brutus barks 3 times a day He barks at the door, people walking bye and even at loud noises. I guess Amaya lets Bru do all the talking

Same with Jas...no barking...just gruffing and growling when she wrestles with my dear hubby!

Canon whom at 5 month old just realized he can bark forgets to stop. He's okay if its just him and Roxy, but if he's around the other dogs he barks constantly and makes funny gurgling noises like he's trying to woo woo. Roxy only barks when she wants to play.
