hey i was wondering if anyone wants to get together for a play date during the day? I live in the Gainesville/Dawsonville area pretty close to a local lake park. so if anyone wants to get together let me know.

I'm still very new to Ga and I'm not sure where things are. I am in Snellville in Gwinett county is this get together close to me. If so I would love to join in.

yes sort of. Hall County is the county above Gwinnett. I am going to try to do some research and see if i can find pet friendly parks in the area and will post back when i do

We live in Dacula and have heard about the park in snellville off of five forks....would love to go, but unfortunately we are off during the week as opposed to the normal weekends!

We live in Sugar Hill - Gwinnett County and AJ would LOVE to play!! Please let me know when you find a park - I would love to find one that they could play without a leash - but either way. AJ was in a foster home for a long time with other boxers and I think he misses playing with them since he's our only dog.

Ronald Reagan Park

I've taken Hummer and King here a few times, its an off leash secure area and really quite nice. I cut and pasted the following info from the parks website.

Ronald Reagan Park has something for every member of the family, even the one with four legs! The park is home to the county's first dog park, a two-acre fenced-in area where dogs can play off their leashes. The park is also Gwinnett's first Passive Community Park and boasts a "senior" area with horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, bocce ball courts and a pavilion with permanent chess and checkerboards. Other amenities include a small skate area, a playground, two half basketball courts and a 3/4 mile paved multi-purpose trail. Several covered picnic areas and a small pond also features of this neighborhood park.
