I haven't seen many non-doodlers, but those of you that have a Dooley boxer just what age did they start to drool my aramis is going to be 5 months on the 8th and he still don't drool! was I fortunate enough to pick a non-Dooley one?

it might be a good thing cause when I'm on the pc he likes to stand on my couch with his hind end and put his front paws on my shoulder and rest his head on my head. if he was to start drooling this would be a very bed thing! but he seems to like this website too he likes watching it over my shoulder or should I say he watches over my head.

Clio also has a 'dry' mouth. She drips when she drinks but she usually takes care of that by setting her head on someone's lap! We are always walking around with little wet spots on the knees of our pants.

If your dog ain't droolin' yet, he probably won't.

From what I have read Boxers don't drool. Excess water will collect in their jawls and will string out after drinking. The droopier the jawls the more water. Tyson's jawls hang much more than my females and while he eats saliva will collect in his jawls. This is easily prevented by taking a towel and wipe out all the water and saliva after they eat and drink. My youngest female is 10 months and her jawls aren't very droopy yet. She doesn't need a wipe down after drinking but I do it any way just to get her used to it. When people are over they laugh at me and say they can't believe I wash my dogs face. I tell them "Well, they don't have hands and someone has to do it." They always just laugh and say I treat my dogs like they were my kids. Nothing wrong with that, right?

China doesn't normally drool either. However when I take her somewhere that involves other dogs she looks like she ate a shoe, with the shoe strings hanging out either side. Does anyone else's boxer do that? She gets so excited to play and its so funny looking. :D

Zoe doesn't drool either. She never has and probably won't. She's going to be 11 mos. old and only does it when she has just gotten a drink of water. Even then, she usually licks her mouth until she gets every last bit up! Yummy

Interesting though, our lab, Jake, is a HUGE drooler. He even drools when he isn't drinking. I told my husband, Jason, that Jake is the wettest dog I've ever met in my life. He is always drooling and always trying to put his head in your lap to wipe it off. It's really irritating and gross. YUCK-Jessica

Our boxer drools only after he drinks and also when he's out playing (like China mentioned above). It's funny, he usually gets a big line of spit between his nose and eyes somehow. Looks pretty funny.

Ali never drools, although while she was waiting for dinner the other night she started blowing little bubbles - very cute! Her friend Zach (lab/huntaway) has the biggest drools I've ever seen - they can be well over a foot long - and Ali cleans them up for him - it's disgusting!!
