BentleysMama

Completely Boxer Crazy
My husband's in Denver to learn something (it's computer stuff so I don't follow). He's been gone two days now and last night Bentley decided we just can't sleep without Daddy anymore! He kept getting up all night sniffing around for him and whining. Then I'd finally get him to come to bed and he'd just sit up looking out the bedroom door. I think Bentley was thinking it was like last time Daddy was gone. He had to do a late night ambulance run with some of the paramedics and ended up coming home around 2 in the morning. So Mommy got no sleep last night because she had to comfort the baby. What a stinker! Good thing Daddy's coming home today! He misses his boxing buddy. I'm just not strong enough :)

Arty

Boxer Booster
Arty was like that the last time I was out of town. He was looking all over for me all night and my wife couldn't sleep. So now I am no longer allowed to go away. Even for business!

Dodge and our pug, Chevy, both think that if Dad is not there when we go to bed, that it isn't really bedtime. Instead, they think it is playtime. So, I spend a lot of my night trying to get them to stop wrestling on top of me. I guess we all know who lets the puppies get away with more . . .

My Calla

Boxer Insane
Calla does this too. If BF is not home, she refuses to lay down. She paces back and forth....back and forth.....looking out of the window.....to the front door....back and forth. Finally when he gets home, she feels that she can relax. Drives me CRAZY!!! foolicon I don't think she does that if I am not home.....huh, I will have to do a little experiment on that!

Nestle used to get so upset if DH was working late or playing poker. Now, she hops right in his spot on the bed (pillows and all) and stretches out. She doesn't even lift her head when he gets home. Porter is not bright enough to realize it is night time  so he has no clue.

Girlie loves her daddy but when he leaves for work in the morning she is the first to jump on the bed and take his pillow. :D

Diesel Dog

Boxer Booster
We have that problem too, I've never been gone, gone, but like last night, didn't get home till late from a game, I guess Diesel refused to goto bed, and stayed out on the couch. and would walk around looking for me, which drove GF nuts.

Maisy, my brothers little girl, is real bad. She is totally different when he is out of town. She doesn't sleep, doesn't eat, and always sad. He was in Canada last week, and my SIL was home with her everyday but friday, because she had a DR appointment, so I get off early on Fridays and went and spent the afternoon with her. but she would stand up every little bit and look out the window for daddy to come home.
