dont giver your dog away... this problem is easily fixed. i have not read all of the threads so if i repeat someone i am sorry. what i did with both of my boxers... find some sort of a toy they absolutely love! then, when they go to get on your table, get in your trash, etc. give them the toy. it has worked with all my previous pups and such. also, you can put foil on the table. they hate the way it sounds. just a few suggestions. boxers are a curious breed, and they WILL get into everything. mine still get in my trash, so i just put the trash can in the garage..

[Boxer Babies]

Hi,

I have two Boxers. My boy 3 1/2 gets into mischeif if we dont excersise him. We keep them locked on our back verandah when we are not home because of Thais AS, so the plants (and anything else in the way) cope a hiding if I dont take him out for his walks.

But its not their fault. They just get so much pent up energy that they probably feel like they are going to explode.

I guess it would be like a human being in hospital in traction and unable to move wouldnt it.

I would never give up my babies, because thats what they are my children. I wouldnt adopt a child out because it was misbehaving or my house didnt suit. Id make sure it did suit.

Dont give up on your baby... please...

They are the most unselfish animals. All they ask for is food, water and some love. Thats not a lot to ask for really.

I hope you stick with it, you will get back ten times the love you give.

I was just reading up on you & your puppy problems. I would like to adopt your "baby". Was she involved in Katrina or was that before here time? Are you back in your home? I am in Greer, South Carolina. Take Care.

Um....Zoey decided to keep her dog and work with her to fix the problems rather than rehome her. Gotta read through the thread, folks. This is a successful post here at BW showing that most problems can b resolved with some work and contistency.

Thanks all. We have just moved to our new house, no longer renting. Zoey is doing pretty good, she did dig out under the gate the first week when we were out. Her tags still have my dads number on, so they called him. The nieghbor boys who found the hole even put some big rocks down to keep her from getting out again. So, at least we have good neighbors. We have since put the trashcans in front of the gate, so she cant escape. Normally she is inside anyway, it is too hot for her to be left outside when we go out. She has dug out 2 of the sprinklers, so will have to work on, I expect more walks etc. Other than that, like everyone says, they are just big lovable dogs who just want to be with you.
Now does anyone have any suggestions how to break her from jumping up on you? hehehehe, probably never gonna stop that, it is probably her way of giving hugs.

Good to hear everything is working out. You may want to post your jumping question to the appropriate forum. You'll get more responses.You may also try the search tool as a lot of info about jumping has been posted previously.

Congratulations on working through it! I realize how difficult it has been for you & your family so I applaud you for sticking with her… I’m sure she loves her family very much. I never realized what a commitment it is to have a dog but now that I have them I can’t imagine my life with out them. I’m sure that things will get easier as she gets older.
