i have 12 week old boxer sisters. they fight/wrestle play all the time, and sometimes i think they get out of hand with it and i have been breaking them up. well to get to my point one of them (keyonie) has been nipping at the kids when they come near her. more when they kind of sneak up on her or try to pick her up. that right there could very well be the problem, the kids startling her or maybe she thinks it is leyoko, our other pup. but either way i dont like it and need to find a way to break it. she hasnt actually bit but i am afraid that might happen.she more growls and nips, but you can tell its anger.i know that she needs to express to, what she likes and doesnt but how do i know if this is something she will grow out of? my kids are 6 4 2 and 10 months and i dont want to have a moody pup around. any suggestions are greatly appreciated..i have told the kids not to pick the dogs up any more and to try not to sneak up on them so hopefully that helps to but it is hard to tell that to the babies..i think that is my biggest concern!!

Most of your work needs to be done with your kids. There needs to be rules. First the kids are too young to be picking the dogs up. 2. Do the pups have a place to go that the kids are not allowed to bother them? If you do not protect the pups they will take the matter into their own hands. ie. bitting. The girls are yound and probably just playing but it is only going to get worse if you do not set up boundries now.
