Just stick with it. It took Cody a while not to go in his crate. Now when my wife or I say we have to go to work he runs up the stairs and is waiting inside it for us to shut the door. He is fine all day. On the other hand he does spend the night in bed with us and like to try to get me up around 2:30 or 3 to go outside.
