Of those two dates - the 25th is the only one that would work for me. Does the 25 sound good to everyone else?

My baby Brooklyn is almost 11 weeks old! When I first posted about a Boxer bash we didn't even have him yet. Wow how time flies. We are going to do our best to attend on the 25th of August. Hope to see everyone there.

the 25th is perfect...Prince is scheduled for a certain operation that I am sure he would not be happy about if he knew (;) ;) ) on the 27th, so a day of fun at the boxer bash a few days before is just what he needs!

so the 25th at Robert's dog run, right?

We want to come also and Aug. 25th is good for us too. Where exactly is Roberts dog run? Please let me know so I know how to get there and what time do we meet? Thanks! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. :)

Possible Change in Venue

All / Poeyman,
The Roberts dog run is a little small....There is a fantastic dog run on 51st & FDR (Beekman Place). The run is rather large and has trees / dirt, fresh running water & plenty of shade as well.

I just thought I would offer the suggestion as I frequent the run with my boy Rudy....Any thoughts. If you check out Urbandhound.com they should have a review of the runs around mid-town east.

Um, we haven't actually decided, have we? Last time we used Robert's Dog Run on 42nd St. between 1st Ave and the FDR. We don't have to do it there again if there's a more convenient place anyone can suggest. The real the asset of Robert's is that it's central, uncrowded and it's got cement instead of that stinky, dirty cedar-chip stuff. It's also right next to the beautiful UN and the East River. But I'm biased because it's walking distance to my apartment. Suggestions? If anyone has a big fenced-in backyard they want lots of Boxer poop in we could have a cookout! :)

You are correct sir ! No venue decision has been made and I just wanted to offer the suggestion. Beekman is very nice however it can get a little crowded....Other dog owners sometimes do not understand the playfulness of Boxers and Roberts may have an advantage !

Either way we are in and I look forward to the day. If you get a chance check out Beekman and we can decide later this week or early next. If you check out Beekman send me a line and we can possibly meet up...Nice line on the Boxer poop ! Can you imagine how fertile someones lawn would be after a Boxer Bash !

Yeah I think some of the other folks were a little overwhelmed by the Boxers last time - so we probably should pick another venue. I'll have to check out Beekmans. It's been so hot lately I've been reluctant to go anywhere with Bentley. Hopefully it'll be a bit cooler in August. Gee, nobody's jumping forward with this backyard thing, huh? :)
