We are currently about to adopt a two year old rescue. We met him yesterday and our current boxer (10 month brindle male) loved him! So everything sounds great, right. Well I woke up in the middle of the night worried that the new furbaby will take my current buddy away from me. Mojo is my buddy, we walk together, watch TV together, nap together sometimes. I hope the new dog won't replace me! Is this a weird thing to worry about?

No,but they will tend to play between themselves more than with you. Don't feel left out if Mojo would rather spend time with his own kind. You may feel left out but don't feel too bad.

It will be OK!!

I have 7 all ages from 11 months to 10 years old and they do play alot together but they all also need Daddy time I havt to take turns taking them with me places, I usually take 2 at a time. Then at night while I am watching TV they all take turns with all the humanes in the house. Your two will play together but you will also get double the Love in return and you can both of them with you when you go place.

are you kidding me. you will get double the love. they will play together, that may take a little time away, but the smile on your face when you watch them together, knowing they are having a good time. makes that small time worth all the while.

when we had two. we watched them play and play, but when they were tuckered out, it was who can find mommy and daddy the fastest. and most of the time if i was by myself i got two on my lap. i promise having two boxers is worth every moment you have with them.

Don't feel bad they will play together more then with you but boy will you get double the loving two. You will always hold a special place in your babies heart. The new kid may be a lot more fun to wrestle with but I bet you will still be the best cuddler. =)

It's funny how you do end up making room in your heart for more than you ever thought possible. And, your Mojo will have a playmate for when you can't give 100% attention. And, the best thing of all? Now, you have more boxer bodies to cuddle with!! I have 2 rescued babies and my pound pup and I have to tell you there's plenty of play and fun to be had all around.

Good luck!

I had the same concerns when we got our second Boxer. We had an 8 month old Boxer who is the light of my life. We rescued an 11 week old. They are inseparable but they still want mommy and daddy time. Don't worry it will be just fine. I have no regrets and cannot imagine having just one Boxer.

Good Luck and Enjoy
