I need your help again. Six year old Diesel is feeling better from the kennel cough, and his neuter incision is healing nicely. I noticed 2 days ago that he started dribbling urine in the floor when he would stand from a sitting position. Also, at times a little leaks out while he is lying down. I never noticed this before. Can this be attributed to his neuter that was done a week prior?

I've read about parsley helping some dogs, but would it help in our situation? Can this be temporary, or do you think it is permanent? Also, I know that prescription meds can be an option. Are these expensive?

I have heard good things about parsley, especially after a female is spayed and there is some incontinence problems. I think its a tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley with each meal?? Also Homeopet makes a product, I think its called Leak no Moore.

My Pete had a uti back in mid December, and he did leak a bit, even after going outside to potty. He took an antibitoic for 10 days, and not until the end of the round of meds did he seem to be back to normal. You may want to check with your vet and see if this is a possibility. A uti is determined by a urinalysis. tThe vet tech tried to get a sample from Pete by "freecatchinig", holding a cup under him. Pete did not disappoint. He filled the cup on the first try.

I hope your new boy feels better soon. Where are you in AL?

Thanks, Holden's Mom. I wonder about the uti though because he is already on a pretty high dose of antibiotics for the kennel cough, so wouldn't that clear it up? He is on Lincocin.

I'm in Arab, AL. Birmingham is about 60 miles south from me, and Huntsville is around 30 miles north of me.

Different anitbiotics treat different things. Just like in people not every antibiotic treats all.

I have to take him back to the vet in a couple of days to remove his stitches, so if it hasn't cleared up by then, I have him checked for uti. Thank you all for the help.
