New Puppy

Hi I am new to this board - I am still awaiting my wee puppy to come home with us. She is 5 weeks at the moment and will be coming home with us in another 2 weeks time - I really cannot wait! I have been using this website to up date my knowledge on Boxers and have found it extremely useful!

The puppy is a beautiful red cost with 4 white socks and flashes of white under her chin and a tiny white flash on her neck and on her face - a wee cutie!!!

Can anyone give me advice of what I should be doing now in preparation for the puppy coming home to us. My boyfriend and I are so excited about the puppys arrival and want the change from being with her mother and litter mates to coming to live with us as pain free as possible and want her to feel at home - have you any advice.

I have also booked a full week off work to spend with her when she comes come and cannot wait to spend a full week getting to know her and welcoming her to our home - her home!

I would use the search engine on this site to find threads on Preparing for Puppy or the like and you will find ALOT of information. I will beat the multitude of responders by telling you to purchase the books The Dog Listener and Culture Clash. The book review section here thinks the world of those 2 books.
