When we brought Apache home we let him play with Cherokee. He fended for himself really well and she knew when to stop. Even in her playing although it seemed rough she was very gentle with him. In fact he was rough with her. I don't know if that's the right thing but that's how it was here. Apache was in his kennel at night and when we were gone in the morning. Now it's just in the morning.
Good Luck I hope you get more helpful feed back.:)

Let them go at it - supervised, of course. It will seem like one is driving the other one nuts, but I think it's important to let them get it settled between them and out of their systems. Put an immediate stop to it if there is any real violence, and make them take breaks in their crates regularly. They'll calm down and get used to one another soon, don't worry!

It's OK..

When we first brought Bianca into our household we where scared..because at first Dasia would stand over her and paw at her roughly. The whole time Bianca would be growling and barking. She would run and hide under the table, chairs our legs etc. Dasia wasn't trying to hurt her just trying to let her know that she is the boss. (by standing over her) the pawing i think she just wanted to play.

Also Dasia LOVED Bianca's little ears. Since Bianca is white i can see any small scratches and marks. Dasia would literally put her whole mouth on the ear. But when i check the ear NO marks. They are quite gentle. Even though it looks like severely rough play. The first month it was constantly watching them. But now they are the best of friends there has never been any marks or scratches on Bianca through rough play...however Dasia has tons of scratches from B's needle teeth. They don't play as rough now...now Dasia has to hide from B.

It really does get better...just looks scary when the play because of all that growling and barking from the pup..they are pretty strong for being so tiny. Good luck and congratulations on your new pup. :D

I know it sounds like they're killing each other, especially if one is more vocal than the other, but they need to have that time together. Always supervise the play and intervene if it actually does get to rough but my guess would be they will be fine.:)
