Hi fellow boxer lovers! We just got our very first boxer pup. She is a flashy brindle with her tail cropped but not her ears. Her name is Lucy and sometimes we call her Lucy Lou! We first got interested in the boxer breed after dog sitting Tucker, a flashy brindle male, for a couple that travel a lot. Tucker was the best dog we had ever came in contact with. We fell in love instantly, so much so that we decided to get one of our very own.st two weeks. I did not realize how smart this breed is. Lucy is already housebroken (no accidents for over a week--impressive) and we got her 3 toys (a ball, stuffed monkey, and a rope) She already knows each one by name and will go get them on command. Wow!!! Anyways, we are glad to be here and look forward to talking with other boxer parents in the future!

Congratulations on your new puppy. Ali is my first boxer too. Actually, my son bought her and because he works all day and she would be home alone (which he should have realized) he came to me and asked if I could take her for awhile. (Mom's are always there). Now there is no going back. I am retired and have lots of time to spend with her and my mini poodle (Bailey). It is funny though because when he comes to visit on the weekends, she goes bizark. She was with him for only a few nights. But she is our baby and we love her to death. She is the most loving and non-agressive dog I've ever met. The only problem we have sometimes is she gets too playful with our poodle. But he takes her by the jowls and won't let go. She did not house train as early as your baby but I never crate trained her so she always had the run of the house. This girl practically talks to me. They are intelligent dogs and when you have a poodle to go with that you can have double trouble. Our poodle is only 2 1/2 so he is still up to his tricks. Who do we blame? Like the time our camera went missing. My husband found Ali in the rec. room with the camera but no sign of the cover. Later that day Bailey the poodle kept trying to reach something under the sofa. Guess what, the cover was in there. So we figured Ali reached the camera from the table and Bailey took part in the fun.

Good luck with your new baby Lucy. I'm sure you made a great choice.

Mom to Ali (Boxer, 10 months, fawn & white, tail docked, reg. ears: Bailey, white mini poodle; Sook (11 yr. old grey & white big boy (cat) who sleeps on my computer desk (Ali & Bailey can't reach him there).

I am not quite sure what the woo woo song is. I have heard that term several times in the forum. I actually looked it up on the internet and believe it or not there was a video of it. It was very short but I think it sounded kind of like a howl and a growl put together. Lucy, as far as I know, has yet to sing the woo woo song.
