Hi, I am a new member to Boxerworld.
I have a seven month old brindle girl named Laika. She's our first boxer baby, and the cutest thing in the world.
We do have a few problems to work out still. She still pees in her crate when we leave her alone for 5 hours. We have tried everything. I suspect it may be a weak bladder??? If anyone has any suggestions please help!!

I have never had any probs with Tango peeing anywhere so i am no use to you.. maybe you should post a message in the boxer ring forum? Hope you get all the answers you need.

Hi, I had the same problem with my pup Chato when he was crated at home while my husband and I where at work. He never stopped, even after we house trained him! Leave him in his crate for a short while and he would go, and not just go, but step in it, lie in it, whatever. We stopped the crate when the weather got warm enough and we could leave him in a dog run I built for him on the side of our house. By the way, paper training never took either. He just needed to be taught to go outside. He has not had a single accident in the house since 7 months ago, around the same time I built his outdoor dog run! And he is very much a house dog. He even taught my new pup to go outside in the "designated area". Crate training is NOT for every pup, they are different individuals with different likes and dislikes. He could care less if he pooped in his own bed when he was crated! And my new pup could not be crated for any amount of time at all, she literally broke out several times in the first weeks, so we where able to paper train her to stay in our master bathroom when we were absent. I hope my post helped a little!

Welcome to BW,

You will find lots of great information, knowledgeable people and loads of fun here.

As for the lack of bladder control. First be sure she does not have any kind of bladder infection. I have a seven month old girl that started wetting her crate. My vet treated her holistically and she is once again dry. No sense in using antibiotics when they are not needed. :)

Other wise, give her some time.

:D
