Boxer Pal
Just wanted to say that I am a new boxer owner and I am looking forward to getting to know all I can about the breed. The newest member of the family is "Sassy." She is now 12 weeks old and we are having a hard time getting any weight on her. She is still about 6 pounds underweight. Does anyone have any suggestions that may help us get her on track?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Just wanted to say hi and welcome to Boxerworld. This is a great place for info. I don't have any suggestions for adding weight to your little one, but I'm sure there will be lots of folks who will provide you with tips.

Welcome to BW,

You will find lots of great information, fun and great people here.

If your vet has given her a clean bill of health, I would feed a good quality food, and give her some time. Stay far away from the grocery store type foods. Bad ingredients and more filler than nutrition.

The vet has given her a good checkup. He gave us a suggestion for the food, which when I opened it and gave her some this morning, she almost acted like I have never fed her before. She quickly ate 2 and a half cups of food. Thanks for your input.

Hello and welcome to Boxerworld!:) I hope little Sassy gains weight soon! Mine don't have that problem--I have to watch to keep them slim and trim (and myself, too)!

Welcome to Boxerworld :) As long as you are feeding a high quality diet, your baby should fill out appropriately over time. If you research our feeding forum, you will find a number of foods to stay away from and also find ones that come highly recommended :)
