Hello from Dave and my boxer Sadie who is 2 and a half. I have been having some problems with Sadies constant gnawing at paws which is making her unhappy. I have only had her a few months and was given to me because her previous owner was unable to look after her. So Im looking after a boxer for the first time. Having read some of the forums about the problems involved with looking after boxers, I did not realise that their can be so many things that they can catch, such as all kinds of allergies amongst other things. I would be grateful for any tips to help me with looking after Sadie. I look forward to your response.

If you post your questions about Sadie's paw-chewing problem in the health forum, you're sure to get plenty of advice. You're right that it is likely to be an allergy (though there are other possibilities). Allergies can be food-related or they can be environmental. If you think it could be her food (especially likely if there is any form of corn, wheat, beet pulp or brewers yeast in it) then it would help if you posted what she eats at the same time
