So initially there was some issues with my pup not peeing/pooping inside. This was resolved for close 2 weeks, but now he has associated outside as a play just to lie in the grass and to play. He will pee a little outside but always has enough to pee inside within a half hour or so (him being outside for anywhere from 30 mins to close to 2 hours). Any recommendations?

We are also having housetraining issues - my pup also associated outside with play so i have started taking her out on a lead every hour for up to 5 mins then bringing her in if she doesnt go - then again every 15 mins until she does go then its back to hourly - when she does go - i make a fuss but because she loves playing out there - i also reward her with some off lead play. if she doesnt go - she doesnt get play time. of course i am still having accidents as she is still little, and it is tiring to do (i wont be able to do this when i go to back to work), but i am hoping she will learn that outside is the place to go.
good luck :)

Hopefully that regime will work out Sonrae. I, unfortunately cannot devote that kind of time to that. He is getting better but now the issue I am having is that he does not want to go on walks, he just wants to lie in the grass or play.

How have you taught your pup to "leave it"?

I havent taught 'leave it' yet - she ignores most things i say :-D i am having major housetraining issues even with the amount of time i have put in to it. she will pee about 7 times an hour in and out, and today she has pooed 5 times - 3 out, 1 in and 1 in her crate!! i am exhausted by it all and i cannot give her this sort of time next week as everyone back to work and she will be left for 5 hours so i am expecting lots of accidents on my return but i dont know what else to do. i am just hoping when she can go out for walks that it will help.

The only recommendations I can make is to confine her ability to explore inside. Crate for an hour on and an hour off if you can for now. This will confine the areas she can go and then she will have to be around it and this will give her her "den" and traditionally pups will not want to defecate in their den. Expect some crying/whining when she is in her crate and especially when you are home, but know that nipping this now should help with next week as well. I had major anxiety issues with Baxter and doing stuff like that helped a lot and now he is worlds better (and he is still young 14 weeks)

Are you using any kind of cleaner that breaks down the enzyme that they can smell to know where to go?

yes - i have an enzyme cleaner - my house stinks of it!! :-D
I confined her to a small room (utility end of kitchen) with her crate the other day and left her for 3 hours. She had a poo and a wee on the floor which i thought wasnt too bad - not in her crate (door left open). She has no option but to do this when i am at work, but am hoping to get my son to let her out once a day while i am gone. wow its hard being a puppy mum again!
